uHavePassed is a completely new service from Luzia Research to engage driving theory test students.

uhavePassed has been designed to engage 16-20 year olds in new ways to take on the knowledge needed to understand the Highway Code and pass their driving theory test.

Most current preparation for the driving theory test involves students sitting in front of a computer and going through “mock tests” to practice the questions in near exam conditions. This is a great way to prepare for the real test - but when you also need to revise this means that you must sit through many 30 minute tests to get through the 1000+ questions that are provided in the Official DSA Question Bank.

uHavePassed allows students to take “mock” tests on-line at a computer, but also to practice questions on their mobile phones in short chunks - from 2 minutes to 15 minutes. The results from the phone tests are synchronised with the on-line results and analysed to see in which categories the students need to concentrate more on.

The results of this analysis are shown graphically to the student and they are given guidance on studying priorities for them to increase their knowledge and chances of passing the real driving theory exam. Each time a student downloads questions to their phones - these questions will only contain new questions or ones that they have yet to answer correctly.

uHavePassed also includes games on the mobile phone to give the student an alternative ways to pass the time and practice some aspects of the Highway code.

uHavePassed uses the mobile Assessment module from Luzia Research’s mLearn platform - this module allows tests and assessments to be taken both on-line via a website and “off-line” via various mobile devices. Results from on-line and off-line tests are synchronised to provide one view of a Students progress.

Luzia Research was founded in February 2006 to develop new ways help students with various aspects of their studies. Luzia Research focuses on tools to help students outside of the classroom and amongst their developments are tools for language learners, student drivers and mathematical revision tools.
